Lost Trades Fair 2025

We are very happy to announce that we are hosting the 2025 Lost Trade Fair at The Old School in McGregor on the 27th of September this year!
Our Lost Trade Fair is a cultural event that celebrates traditional and forgotten trades from our area. The fair will bring together local crafters, artisans and skilled individuals who will do live demonstrations and sell handmade products directly to visitors.
Building on the great succes of last years event which featured demonstrations such as mud brick making, thatching, candle dipping, broom making spinning of wool etc we are looking forward to expand the Fair this year with several other crafts and artisans, like felting and leatherwork.
The event will also include local food stalls with traditional fare such as potjie and roosterkoek, locally made jams and pastries.
Our aim is to display the wealth of talent our valley has, build community pride and support for our local artisans and craft people.
Accompanied by live music we are excited to spend an afternoon celebrating our Heritage!
